LSI, David Chao's first book!

We've all told him: "David, you should write a book!"
And now it's finally become a reality!

LSI is very excited at the release of Lean Reflections - the world's first "lean" coffee-table book.
The inspirational book is a must have for all lean practitioners, who may be ready for something unique and different from typical business books. Most of the photos in the book were taken by David himself, making this book feel like a collection of fond memories.

The books come in a variety of covers for you to choose from. They will be available for purchase at the Lean Strategy Summit (click here for more information) and online: www.blurb.com/user/store/leansensei
Please visit our blog for more information: www.leanreflections.com

The world's first lean coffee-table book, Lean Reflections, is a completely different kind of book because it delivers a message in the form of 290 photos.  If one picture is worth thousand words, then 290 equals to 290,000 words!

This book is dedicated to all lean evangelists who believe in the power of lean to inspire people, transform lives, and create a better world.  It was produced with the hope that lean champions, leaders, and evangelists will make a difference in the world through lean.

Special thanks go to Lean Sensei staff, associates, friends & families, clients, partners, and contributors who made every moment in this book a truly special occasion.

"I believe in the power of lean to transform the world in a way that we cannot even begin to imagine."
David Koichi Chao

LSI is proud to host a once-in-a-lifetime Lean Summit with Dr. Jeffrey Liker, Mike Hoseus, and David Meier.

LSI is preparing for a once-in-a-lifetime conference on September 22 to 24 of 2009.  Simply called the Lean Strategy Summit, this incredible conference will bring three of the top authorities in the lean world, including Dr. Jeffrey Liker (author of Toyota Way), Mike Hoseus (co-author of Toyota Culture), and David Meier (co-author of Toyota Way Fieldbook and Toyota Talent) to Vancouver.

LSI coaches, the three Toyota Way book authors and key industry speakers will deliver workshops, hands-on sessions and share best practices to help conference attendees develop a cutting edge lean strategy.  Each day (of the three-day event) will start with a workshop by one of the three authors, followed by hands-on sessions conducted by LSI coaches to help "cement" the knowledge and develop an actual implementation plan.  Three primary topics that will be covered at the conference are:

Vision & Alignment- developing a clear vision and knowing how to align your organization towards the vision using hoshin kanri.

 .

Leadership & People Development - creating a strategy for developing people and the most effective lean team.

Execution & Sustainment- developing a strategy for kaizen (continuous improvement) and kaikaku (radical innovation) that will allow the company to transform itself into a world-class lean organization.

Please see our Lean Strategy Summit page or contact us for further details.

David Chao Meets Lamborghini!

Master coach, David took Master Blackbelts, Ian Marshall (far left) and John Chaput (second from the left) to Germany and Italy for lean benchmarking study visits to Porche, Mercedes, Ferrari and Lamborghini.

The trip was a great learning experience in the way of seeing new lean applications. It was also a chance for David to bounce ideas off of Mr. Lamborghini himself.

Participants of benchmarking tours are hand picked by Master coach, David Chao. Please see our event calendar for the next bench marking tour.
