nchmarking 2009

 
 
LSI  had a benchmarking and lean assessment project in Germany and Italy.
It was one of the most memorable trips we had so far!  The stop-overs in Rome and Venice were highlights.
 
 
LSI's David Chao took two LSI Master Blackbelt graduates, Ian Marshall and John Chaput, on a special benchmarking
tour of Lamborghini and Pagani in Italy.  Lamborghini has been using lean thinking for several years now with much
success! 
 
 
We also visited the Lamborghini Museum, where we met the nephew of the founder. Mr. Lamboghini spent two hours
showing us around the musuem.
 
We also visited the Porsche Musuem and Factory, which was a highlight in Germany.  The Porsche
factory utilizes lean principles and it is one of the reasons why Porsche has been so successful. We have never seen
so many Porsches in one place!
 
An Executive Program workshop recently held at a major pharmseutical company in Puerto Rico produced innovative
solutions in just a few days using LSI's problem solving methodology.
